Yusley Perez, M.S. is the founder and CEO of Comprehensive Counseling and Wellness Center. Yusley has over 15 years of experience working with families. During her early years she attended law school, and worked within the legal system with families for over 10 years before deciding to pursue a career in psychology. She obtained a dual degree in the psychology field and received specialized training in forensic assessments of both adults and minors allowing her to seamlessly integrate her past legal experience with her new knowledge base. Ms. Perez has taught several undergraduate courses, has created a wide variety of workshops and consistently gives lectures on a diversity of topics geared to help individuals, families and companies. She presented at Annual Mental Health Conferences and was invited to serve as a speaker at the 7th Congress on Education, Sexual Orientation and Therapy held in Cuba.
Yusley's innovative spirit has always followed her encouraging her to help others and use her knowledge and experience to offer guidance and support. After working for different agencies as a therapist she decided to take it a step further and founded Comprehensive Counseling and Wellness Center.
Personally, she has served as a consultant and counselor for different agencies and schools, volunteers her time as a Guardian Ad Litem; and spearheaded series of workshops, support groups, and fund-raising events.
Sabina Garcia, MS is the Executive Senior Officer of Comprehensive Counseling and Wellness Center LLC. She is a marriage and family therapist with specialties in play therapy and parenting solutions. She has been working in the field for more than 10 years. In addition to private practice she is a parent workshops specialist having taught nurturing parenting classes in different universities, non-profit and state agencies. Sabina's work with families has developed through the years and made her an expert in the field. She has presented in the Children's First Conference held annually in Miami Florida in various subjects that affect our community and children with such subjects as bullying, proper nutrition for children and overall parent wellness to name a few. Ms. Garcia is also a published author. Her book, "Aden Does Not Eat Vegetables" is a hit with preschool aged children helping them to see that vegetables and proper nutrition is important in a very fun and unique way. However, with her many accomplishments her most important credential and what makes her as skillful as she is, is being a mother to a very active 8-year-old boy.
Paula Nieves, M.S. is the Center administrative assistant. Ms. Nieves holds a dual master degree in Mental Health and Marriage and Family Therapy from Carlos Albizu University with specialized training in education. For the past 10 years Paula has worked establishing community healthcare and advocating for individuals and families. Currently Ms. Nieves is the Office Manager of Comprehensive Counseling and Wellness Center. Professionally, she is an intellectual and achievement oriented person with solid work ethics and passionate about assisting those in need. Her social skills are astonishing and she greets everyone whom she comes into contact with compassion and humility. Personally, she possesses a charming personality which stems kindness, serenity, and optimism.
